How to Find Lost Folders in Outlook?

If you've got lots of folders in MS Outlook, it is possible that you mistakenly moved a folder to another location; hence you are unable to find it. There are many situations that this can happen, below we'll list out the most probable scenarios and solutions to find and recover lost folder in Outlook.
Scenario 1: Folder Lost During Dragging and Dropping

If you try to drag and drop files, a folder may have been moved under another folder. When this happens, the folder may seem lost but was just stored as a sub-folder.

Solution

If you can't find a folder due to the above scenario, all you need to do is check on the downward arrow to expand all folders, check for the missing folder then move it back to its original location.
Scenario 2: If the Folder is Not Lost During Dragging and Dropping

If you try the above solution and you still don't find your folder, then that your lost folder is not caused by dragging and dropping. In this case follow the steps below.

Solution

Step 1: Right-click on the Outlook mailbox.

Step 2: Select the "data file properties option”.



Step 3: On the "Outlook Today dialog box," choose 'folder size' option. This will list out all the folders of Outlook, with all relevant information including its location.Tips:

Step 4: Check for the lost folder and move it back to its original location.
